On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire AfSTA Secretariat, we warmly invite all stakeholders in the seed industry to attend the 27th Annual AfSTA Congress, taking place from March 16-18, 2027, at the Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, which offers a stunning view of the National Park. Your participation, enthusiasm, and active involvement will be crucial in making this event a historic milestone, expected to attract over 600 delegates from across Africa and beyond, setting a new attendance record, and reinforcing AfSTA's role as the leading voice of Africa's seed industry.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our keynote speaker, the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, along with all distinguished speakers, panelists, and moderators who will share their expertise over the three days. Discussions will focus on topics such as innovation, market access, future seed systems, trade, harmonization, institutional strengthening, and strategic coordination. Their insights, complemented by the active involvement of policymakers, researchers, and private sector leaders, will enhance the event and align with this year's theme.

The Congress aims to shape the future of Africa’s seed sector by influencing policies and regulations on seed market access and regional trade, promoting sustainable investments, encouraging collective action, and fostering regional cooperation to develop more resilient seed systems across Africa.
We also thank the delegates, exhibitors, traders, sponsors, and advertisers who are welcome to showcase their products and technologies. Additionally, we look forward to welcoming all visitors to Nairobi, known as the "Green City under the Sun," famous for its hospitality and unique charm.
